The guests rooms are sparsely furnished, though nice and recycled. Wallpaper a century old.
For larger parties, our dormitory can sleep up to 10 people. Privacy is provided through the use of screens made from recycled windows and fabrics.
Guest rooms are located in the main house. Two double rooms and one small single room with a great view.
MadOnArts is a beautiful place, but not a luxury one. It is an old house, dating from the late 1800s, restored in ecological, rural pastoral style and being in the middle of nature. A leaf blows in through an open window, spiders feel at home and do their work, bats fly to catch insects, in short, all things of great beauty and necessity to be appreciated, but for those accustomed to modern conveniences and urban life, it may require adaptation.
The dry toilet brings one back to basic consciousness. This is a non water-consuming system. One doesn't flush, but covers the feces with wood shavings and the pot is emptied once a day, recycled, returned to earth. All this has to be considered in advance to avoid disappointments.
The kitchen, 20 square meters, is situated below the dormitory and is fully equipped. Attached is the dining room with a big table and seating for about twelve people.
Food is delicious, fresh, locally grown and with a good share coming from our own garden. Vegetarian or non-vegetarian.
